Creating a cheque book in ChequeMaster is a straightforward process that helps you manage your cheques efficiently. This guide will walk you through the steps to create a new cheque book in the ChequeMaster software.

To create a cheque book, go to Cheque Book from left navigation. This will open a cheque books listing page. Click “Add Cheque Book” button and follow the steps below.

Select the Bank. This will automatically populate the related bank accounts in the "Bank Account" select box. Choose the bank account under which you wish to create the cheque book.

If no accounts are available for the selected bank, you can add a new bank account directly from the same page. Click the “+ADD” button next to the Bank Account select box. A popup will appear where you can fill in the details and click “Submit.” The new account will then be added and selected.

Next, select the Cheque Layout. All available cheque layouts will be displayed in the dropdown.

If you need to add a new cheque layout, click the “+ADD” button next to the cheque layout select box. A popup will open, allowing you to enter the details and click “Submit.” The new cheque layout will then be added and selected.

Enter the Book Name to easily identify the cheque book when selecting it for printing.

Enter the cheque number for the first cheque in your cheque book in the “Cheque No. From” field.

Enter the total number of cheques in the "Total Cheques" field.

Click the "Save" button to create the new cheque book.

Once the cheque book is created, you will see it listed along with all the cheques. You can update the Book Name, Cheque Layout, cheque book status, and extra lines as needed.

Additionally, you can set default settings for the cheque book, including Print Language, A/C Payee Text, Bearer Text, and Not Above Text. After entering the default settings, click the "Save Settings" button to save the details.
